During each school holidays, Tobruk Memorial Pool will be offering an intensive swimming holiday program. With lessons for children and adults of all ages and abilities.
These intensive swimming programs have become very popular in recent years around Australia and are a perfect solution to fast-track a child’s development and provide a healthy structured activity for them during the school holidays.
The swimming holiday program caters for all ages and abilities. We also offer adults lessons as part of the swimming holiday program. We follow the Swim and Survive program which is a comprehensive swimming and water safety initiative of Royal Life Saving. Swim and Survive seeks to increase the swimming and water safety skills of all Australians in order to prevent drowning and increase participation in safe aquatic activities.
Swimming Holiday Program Dates:
3rd July to 7th July
Monday to Friday 8:00am to 12:00pm
30 or 45 minutes depending on the class level
Lesson Fee (includes 4 lessons over 4 days):
30 minute classes; $50
45 minute classes; $60
6 to 10 children depending on the class level
Payments for the intensive swimming holiday program must be paid upon booking to secure your child’s position in the program. No booking can be made without payment.
A $25.00 cancellation fee applies if the child is withdrawn from the program within 7 days of the program commencing.
If your child is unable to make all sessions, there are no replacement or make-up classes available during the holiday swimming program. Our holiday swimming program is a specialised intensive program with limited places. There is no refund for missed sessions during the holiday program.

Skills and knowledge learnt in the Swim and Survive program provides a level of protection and aims to provide children with solid foundation skills in swimming, survival and basic rescue skills.
Wonder, Courage and Active have been chosen as the Swim and Survive program titles to reflect the hopes and aspirations of children and families as they embark on a lifetime of fun and safety in the water.
Each program is structured into skill strands that ensure a balanced, comprehensive instructional approach to a child's aquatic education.
A water familiarisation program for parents and their children aged 6 to 36 months. More details on the Wonder levels.
A program that builds water confidence for preschool aged children between the ages of 3-5 years. More details on the Courage levels.
A swimming and water safety program for school aged children between the ages of 5-14 years. More details on the Active levels.
Learn to swim, swimming lessons and infant aquatics are all terms commonly used across the aquatic industry for programs that seek to build swimming skills. Swim and Survive is all of these, but most importantly it ensures that the essential components of personal survival and water safety are provided, in addition to a process of developing strong and effective swimming technique.
